Botanical name: Pratia pedunculata
Common name: Pratia white star creeper
This dainty, low growing ground cover forms a carpet of green with a profusion of starry flowers for most of the year in warmer areas and spring/summer in temperate areas.
An Australian native, Pratia White Star Creeper is frost hardy and can be grown in full sun or partial shade but does like adequate water. It grows 2 – 4cm in height and will accommodate light foot traffic.
A trending garden idea is to use Pratia White Star Creeper as an attractive filler plant between pavers, or as a living garden mulch rather than bark chips. Additionally, Pratia White Star Creeper is very pretty trailing over a retaining wall or plant pot.
